EUROARM – Poland 2012
European Armwrestling Championship will take place for the twenty-second time already. Poland will be the organizer for the following time. Let’s recall that Poland has already hosted the World Championships in armwrestling, too. So we have experience and knowledge - how to lead such a prestigious undertaking.

XXII European Armwrestling Championship
13-20 May 2012 Gdansk, Poland
Once again, a city in northern Poland, will perform in a role of the capital of the European armwrestling. This time, the most modern - Sports -Entertainment Hall of the Gdansk Academy of Physical Education and Sport will host the best Champions of the European armwrestling. We expect tens of representation, hundreds of athletes.
As this place has more than two thousands of seats for spectators, we invite everyone. The competition will last a few days, so it is worth to take the opportunity to see the world's best armwrestling stars.

Gdansk is not just sports arenas for fans. It is worth to come here for many reasons. The charms of the city, the atmosphere of the historic corners, unforgettable feeling, proximity to the Baltic Sea, beaches and harbors, and also many cultural and entertainment events - it's been a showcase of May in Gdansk for a long time. So I eager for sport and not just sport impressions!
Polish national team has already been training, to be able to represent armwrestling lovers proudly as the host. However we will not be hospitable at the tables! But we will endeavor that every guest remember the event and the city of Gdansk for long.

Gdansk - a port city in Poland by the Baltic Sea, situated at the mouth of the Motlawa river to the Vistula river by the Gulf of Gdansk, on the Gdansk Coast. Together with Gdynia and Sopot it forms Tricity. It is the cultural, scientific, sports and economic centre transportation junction of northern Poland, the capital of Pomerania. Gdansk agglomeration is inhabited by about 1.2 million people.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:
Tricity is connected by a network of roads and railway. The most advanced transport are buses, taxis and SKM – Fast City Railway. SKM run frequency in the Tricity in peak hours is 7-8 minutes, and off-peak 15 minutes. Tricity has a common electronic metropolitan ticket covering all carriers in the Tricity.

The 22nd European Armwrestling Championship will be held in the most modern Sports - Entertainment Hall in Pomerania of the Academy of Physical Education and Sport. The area of the hall is 2000 m2, it is 38m wide and 52m long and can accommodate over 2000 people Major sports economic and artistic events in the Tricity are held and leaders of the international business meet in this hall.
AIRPORT: |
Tricity has its own International Lech Walesa Airport in Gdansk (Gdansk Rebiechowo International Airport - GDN). The airport is situated in a convenient location from urban centres of Gdansk (10 km), Sopot (10 km) and Gdynia (23 km). Gdansk airport is also an aerodrome for the Warsaw Okecie.
ACCOMMODATION:
Participants of the 22nd European Armwrestling Championship will be accommodated in hotels which are located close to the shoreline of the Baltic Sea.
