Engin on Facebook: "hello everyone ! i have been suffering because of a serious neck problem that requires me to have an immediate surgery according to the doctors.my left upper body has been way too painful to handle including wrist and elbow because of the pressure which is on the nerves in my neck.i have been having injections, physio therapy and dry needling treatments which lowers the pain a bit.i will be without any training for 35 days at the time of the WAF event and i am afraid that medications that i am on (such as muscle relaxers) weakens me as well.according to the info that i received the plane to Brazil will not be full and i will be able to able lay on empty seats.then in Brazil i will decide if i can pull or not.i dont plan to pull left hand but i may pull right hand.the time will show.i thank you all for the good wishes and the prayers.." www.facebook.com/groups/113300292106569/

Engin Terzi (Armwrestling John - Engin):" Zil,i am against the belief that more you pull stronger you become.. if that would be the case then the guy who has been pulling longest ,should be the strongest..not sure whose idea this thought is..there is something called "PEAK" and after that there can be decreasing in strength as well.. Ferit is no where near to his peak.. Arsen is stronger now but 25kg is heavier than 2007..P4P i have no doubt that his 75kg shape was stronger.. i dont understand what makes people think that new is always the best but that is an illusion..unless 2012 guys are surgered to receive some steel in their joints the only thing that is different from 2007 to 2012 is the numbers on the calendar.if we are testing this by the numbers that we curl then for example 2006 WAF champion Lubo showed me a video after 2006 WAF , that he was curling 85kg dumbell very strict.. then he got injured with his right and he never was the same again..so he got weaker.. injuries, chemicals, aging, satisfaction and many factors cause decrease in someone's performance.after early 90s armwrestling became popular in eastern europe and since then people has been training their asses off..no one stays at the top forever..just because you are the newest best it does not mean that you are the best ever.. ________________ i am not saying that no one has gotten stronger since 2007..all i say is that some has gotten stronger while some has gotten weaker.. and people who has gotten stronger will also become weaker when the time comes..that is how we are created..is it possible for Ali to box same in his 20s and in his 40s ? or was the Tyson same in late 80s and before he retired ? the guys who beat him in his late career, all of them could beat his prime as well ? after 25 years of being best or near best its so FUNNY people to look at John Brzenk who is injured all over with numbness in his hand, and say, "John losses because level is increased".. its not only funny but FULL of Ignorance..according to these people there are names and these names armwrestle..but to these people these names dont have a physical body that are subject to injuries, aging, satisfaction etc.. according to them Cobra of 90s and Cobra of 2012 are the same..only difference is a lot of people just got so much stronger, not that Cobra who has given hell to Vaghtang who has wins over Alan, who has wins over Brzenk, got any weaker..these people are judging human beings with the quickly developping technology..according to them human are developping as fast as computers did from 90s to 2012.. ________________ Emir Terzi what exactly is better today ? there are new performance enhancers that didnt exist in 2007 ? today people has extra fingers or a new muscle that people in 2007 didnt have ? there is a new technique now that people did not have in 2007 ? today people lifts much heavier than the best guys of 2007 ? what exactly is better today ? if anyone can clearly say this then we can discuss about it.. ________________ Emir Terzi about the subject of this thread i can say that if you ask the same question to Voevoda then you will probably receive a different answer than you received from Michael. Engin Terzi (Armwrestling John - Engin):" btw i never believed performing high reps to provide endurance for armwrestling..i believe in static endurance, not dynamic endurance (for armwrestling).. ______________________ my longest match was probably a minute long but i know my endurance at maximal strength at the table..probably somewhere 40-45 seconds.. but i apply almost the same static power from 1. second to the 40. second at same time by all armwrestling muscle groups that i use in my style.. ______________________ IMO armwrestling can not be judged by the analises of other explosive strength sports.. armwrestling needs its own study..
