" 02/02/2011 Armwrestling Tournament UAL II became one of the central events of the exhibition Fitness Exspo, held last weekend in the city of angels - Los Angeles. "Compared with last year, Fitness Expo has almost doubled, the exhibition featured more than 300 exhibitors from around the world - told Iron World" by Matthew Berman, a representative of the organizing committee Fitness Expo - Ultimate Armwrestling League showed its best side! This tournament was a fantastic addition to the exhibition. Fights rukobortsev provided a huge number of visitors Fitness Expo. Perhaps it was the best Fitness Expo in history! " The main intrigue of the show were the super-matches with the strongest American rukobortsev and women's tournament, which was attended by athletes from the United States, Russia, Canada and Sweden. But the singular sensation of the tournament is not presented. Richard Lupkes confidently took the super-heavy weight. Travis what a coherent competition he was not able to. True, they struggled on the right, but she's scandalous Americans are not held in high esteem. John also was confident, and ruthless. On customary for a first place, finished the tournament, and novel Tsendaliani. Perhaps some sort of a plot was in the heavyweight division. Once feeding high hopes Gyeonggi Hyudzhes the fourth, more or less well-known European public Michael Selaris third. Victory is celebrated in this weight Brent Rakers. At the height were our girls. Winning the tournament celebrated Ekaterina Larina, and Alina Shitina a bronze medal tournament. "

" Devin Mackin admits no one was probably more shocked than he was when he won the right-arm Super-Heavyweight title at the Ultimate Armwrestling League II event held Jan. 29-30 in Los Angeles. Mackin beat nemesis Gabriel Terry in the title match, the same person he'd lost to in the U.S. Open in April. "I was really shocked to go through him so easily," said Mackin, a Kelso resident and 1996 graduate of R.A. Long High. "He's a big man at 6-foot-5 and 375 pounds, but I had talked to John Brzenk (multi-time Heavyweight World Champion), and he told me what it would take to beat him." Mackin was paired with Terry in a match earlier in the tournament, and had similar results. "I flashed him quick in the early match and he came back through the consolation bracket," Mackin said. "He did a shoulder roll in the title match, and I stuck him and buried him with no problem at all. I turned and looked out at everyone, and I guess I had a shocked look on my face." The championship win qualifies Mackin to compete in UAL III which will be held later this year. In addition, he'll compete against the top pullers in the world in the invitation-only Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic on March 2 in Columbus Ohio, and is slated to compete in the fourth annual U.S. Open Armwrestling Championships in Florence, Ore. April 16-17. Mackin also had a chance to meet NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman, who arm wrestled and beat John Grizzly in a celebrity match at UAL II. "They're going to put me in one of Merriman's "Lights Out" uniforms for UAL III," he said. "They're also going to put us up at a hotel, and teach us how to react on television." Mackin is excited to reach the championship level of his arm wrestling career, but he also knows of the roadblocks ahead, including the possibility that future opponents could be chemically enhanced. "I've been training my butt off," he said. "For me, it's all natural. I'm a steak-and-potatoes, corn-fed country boy. "
