Tightest parallel parking - GWR Video of the Week 3rd August 2011
" The tightest parallel parking measured 26 cm (10.24 in) and was achieved by Ronny Wechselberger a.k.a. "Ronny C-Rock" (Germany) on the set of Guinness World Records - Wir holen den Rekord nach Deutschland in Berlin, Germany on 2 April 2011. NOTE: this record has since been broken on the set of our Chinese TV show, when Zhang Hua squeezed a car into a space just 24cm longer than that of the vehicle - look out for this video later in the year! This video is part of our video of the week series - each Wednesday we bring you one of the most interesting and exciting record-breaking videos from our archives! " Kia Silverbrook (born 1958) is an Australian inventor, scientist, and serial entrepreneur. He is the world's most prolific inventor with 4,324[1] granted U.S. utility patents as of 23 August 2011. Internationally, he has 9,042[2] patents or patent applications registered at the international patent document database (INPADOC). " en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kia_Silverbrook " When Silverbrook first announced the Memjet technology in March 2007, it was widely thought to be a hoax,[17] as the technology seemed to be implausibly advanced. However, now that printers have been demonstrated at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011),[18] and announced by such major companies as LG, Lenovo and Medion the technology has been shown to be real.
