Toughest opponent: John Brzenk, Ron Bath, Michael Todd and Todd Huthings. Toughest match: So meny, but I would like to say with John Brzenk IN Lake Tarroe, Ron Bath in North Caroline, Michael Todd almost every time we pull, and Todd Huthings at the NAL. Best training advice: Find good partners to practice, be patient You will get there, at the copetitions be agressive on the tabel and never give up... Goal: Be health, then beat every body... "I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ARM WRESTLING ON THE NEXT LEVEL, WITH BIG SPONSERS, ON TV, AND IN THE OLIMPICS...." Achievs:- 5x WAF World Champion, - 3x WWC World Champion, - 1x PAC World Champion, - 1x Arnold Classic Champion, - 1x Harlley Pull Challenge Overall Champion - Winner of many profesional copetitions - 20x National Champion BiographyMarcio Barboza: "My first contact with armwrestling was in 1990, when a friend invited me to watch him pull a tournament… . I felt in love with this sport since then I start practicing, and just did a few tournaments at the end of that year.... 1991 I really started competing. I won every tournament I went, but the nationals I took second (75kg)....After that year I started beating every top guy in my country, it didn’t metter the weight, I was around 75-80kg, and they give me a nick name "the Phenomenon".... Before I came to the States I won Brazil nationals straight from 1992 to 2000 (in different classes). I left Brazil as the best armwrestler of South America, and till now I’m the most famous and successfull Brazilian armwrestler in history....Coming to America was a dream come true for me, because I was crazzy about competing with the famous professionals in USA, and I always bellived that I could compete with any one of them. That was, or is in the top to beat them.... Well, later me and my fiance Simoni decided to get married and leave in this country and USA became our home till today....We leave happy here, and we have now a wonderfull baby, named Joshua. He who was born in November of 2009..."

" Last Saturdat on April 30th in New York was held 34th Annual NYC Big Apple Grapple International Arm Wrestling Championships. In the results I noticed that the winner of Left Hand in Open class was Marcio Barboza. Good to here that he is back . I congratulated him the victory and asked him how is his right hand now, and when we can see Marcio Barboza "competing on right hand ? " Message from Marcio Barboza: "Yes it was good to be at the table again..... My left arm feel very strong, and my right will probable be at a good level again by the end of the year if everything gose in my favor, that being said I'll guess start pulling at tournaments next year....."was a big surgery,I've got to be sure when to pull...." Thanks for asking Take care.....Marcio...."
